I’ve been giving myself a bit of a challenge: take an idea from my head and turn it into something finished within roughly 20 minutes.
This concept started with the Warriors theme, “It’s Our Time.” I wanted to translate the idea of time into the jersey itself -using a dark, tonal palette and the internal workings of a clock to represent pressure, movement and the feeling that everything is building toward a moment.
The goal of these exercises isn’t perfection. It’s about trusting the first instinct, making decisions quickly and seeing how close I can get to what I originally imagined before the clock runs out.
Sometimes the finished concept lands exactly where I wanted it to. Other times, it reveals something worth developing further. Either way, that’s part of the exercise. Whatever I don’t solve within those 20 minutes becomes something to explore or refine in the next one.
One idea. One time limit. From concept to something real.
