I came up with this print idea around 2009–10. Home Brew was my favourite New Zealand group since Dam Native, and while it definitely wasn’t the first “Listen To” tee, I loved how the name Home Brew made the idea sound more interesting.
If you didn’t know the group, it didn’t make sense straight away: was Home Brew a person, a drink or something else? That was the point. It made people think:
“What’s Home Brew, and how can I listen to it?”
